American Heart Association

BLS Provider (Formerly known as BLS for Healthcare Professionals)

Course Format: BLENDED - Blended learning is a combination of eLearning, in which a student completes part of the course in a self-directed manner online, followed by a hands-on skills session. The hands-on skills session is completed in person with an American Heart Association authorized Instructor. Original or renewal students can take the course in a blended format. This is NOT an online course and does require an in-person skills/hands-on session.

General Course Information: This course is for Healthcare Professionals who need to know how to perform CPR, as well as other lifesaving skills, in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This course covers Adult and pediatric CPR, Two-rescuer scenarios and use of the bag-valve mask, Foreign-body airway obstruction, Automated external defibrillation, Special resuscitation situations and other cardiopulmonary emergencies.

Students Receive: An AHA digital BLS Provider Manual and an American Heart Association course completion card (valid for 2 years).

Audience: Individuals (in school or after school) such as EMTs, PAs, Nurses, Dentists, Physicians, Hematologists, Pharmacists, Lifeguards, Paramedics, PTs, OTs, and other allied healthcare providers are likely required to be certified in BLS.

Price: $88 for online course & skills session / $58 for skills session only.

The online part MUST be completed before the scheduled class date and time which is the hands-on / skills session.

Online Part 1 (Heartcode BLS) is for students who still need to purchase and complete the online portion. If you already completed part one and only need to complete the skills portion of the course, you do not need to buy Online Part 1 again.

American Red Cross Adult First Aid/CPR/AED Blended Learning

The 2021 Adult First Aid/CPR/AED course equips students to recognize and care for a variety of first aid breathing and cardiac emergencies involving adults. It is designed for students who need a certification that satisfies OSHA workplace or other regulatory requirements. Upon successful completion a valid 2 year digital certificate for Adult First Aid/CPR/AED is issued.

American Red Cross Adult/Pediatric First Aid CPR AED - (BL) Blended Learning

This American Red Cross blended learning course combines an online self-paced module with an in-person skills session to prepare participants to recognize and respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants. The online portion must be completed before attending the in-person skills session. Upon successful completion, participants receive a 2-year American Red Cross certification in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED, meeting OSHA, workplace, and regulatory requirements.

In-person skills check with certified instructor
American Red Cross 2-year certification card (issued within 7 days)

Online: 2–3 hours (self-paced)
In-person skills: 2 hours

American Red Cross Instructor Course

Become an American Red Cross BLS Instructor with JBM Medical

Total Cost: $325 Now $275 for a limited time

This course is designed to train instructors on teaching first aid, CPR, and AED courses from the American Red Cross. A current CPR/AED (or higher level) certification from the American Red Cross is required for participation in the instructor course. Participants must also be 16 years of age on the last day of the course. The duration of the course is 5.5 hours. When registering, it is imperative that you read and follow the instructions in the e-mail attachment that comes with your confirmation email.

New Instructors without Experiencce:

Successfully complete the online course prior to an in-person skills session

Successfully complete the in-person skills session.

Instructor Alignment Required:

Upon successful completion, instructors will be aligned under JBM Medical’s Red Cross Training Provider Agreement. Alignment is necessary to issue certification cards and officially conduct ARC classes.

Bridging Courses for Experienced Instructors

The free, online Instructor Bridge Courses are available for qualified Instructors certified with equivalent training organizations who wish to become Red Cross Instructors for student learners in the programs listed below. After signing up for the course, submit the prerequisite documentation. You can take these courses once your Instructor certification has been reviewed and accepted.
